Salone Internazionale del Libro is the first and largest fair of Italian publishing.
Every year, in May, more than 1,200 publishers meet in Turin. The whole publishing world, from the largest publishing groups to the independent ones, takes part in the fair involving writers, booksellers, librarians, agents, illustrators and translators. This is the occasion to experience the Italian book production, meeting with all the components of the publishing value chain.
You can reach Turin and Salone Internazionale del Libro comfortably by train: Frecce trains: 36 daily connections with Rome and 58 with Milan. Regionale veloce trains: 48 daily connections with Milan, 28 with Genova, 23 with Cuneo, 18 with Savona and 24 trains connecting Turin and Aosta.
30 authors, 19 schools, 1 university and 10 prisons all over Italy. These are the numbers of Adotta uno scrittore (Adopt a writer), organised by Salone del Libro and supported by Associazione delle Fondazioni di origine bancaria del Piemonte.
Born in 2010, the BookBlog is the online journal conceived and realised by young people on facts, characters, ideas, projects and events of Salone Internazionale del Libro. The blog is written by an editorial staff composed of students aged from 12 to 18 and tells the story of the book fair before, after and during its unfolding. BookBlog works during the whole year and tells the life of the fair, projects realised with schools like Adotta uno scrittore, those written by the teenagers together with writers, Salone Off, Salone Off 365…
Procedures of pre-registration for all professionals participating in the 32nd edition of Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino, which will be held from Thursday 9th to Monday 13th of May 2019 at Lingotto Fiere, have been closed on Monday 6th May.
