30 authors, 19 schools, 1 university and 10 prisons all over Italy. These are the numbers of Adotta uno scrittore (Adopt a writer), organised by Salone del Libro and supported by Associazione delle Fondazioni di origine bancaria del Piemonte.
For the seventeenth time, the project gives to students the opportunity to meet directly authors to explore the fascinating universe of the literary production. It globally involves the whole Piedmontese territory and schools of all types and levels and it strengthens its presence in one of the places where it is harder to teach: prisons.
Thanks to the collaboration with Cesp (Centro studi scuola pubblica – Rete nazionale delle scuole ristrette) a study centre for public school, which will hold a national congress at the book fair the number of the institutes involved is rising. Furthermore, Adotta uno scrittore goes beyond regional boundaries and it becomes a national project, collaborating with Fondazione con il Sud and activating adoptions in Naples, Cagliari, Palermo and Potenza prisons.
Among the 30 writers, journalists and intellectuals adopted this year there are Mauro, Lidia Ravera, Cristiano Cavina, Mario Calabresi, Andrea Pomella, Marina Mander and Ascanio Celestini.
