Amo scrivere romanzi storici. La storia – ma non solo – è una delle mie grandi passioni. Accanto ad essa c’è la passione per la musica, per l’informatica e per la sete di conoscenza in generale.I miei romanzi storici non li scrivo con l’intento “di guardare alla storia passata per evitare gli stessi errori”, perché non credo che abbiamo da imparare molto dalla storia: dai tempi di Adamo ed Eva la cosiddetta “storia” ha mostrato una umanità capace di fare continuamente guerre e stermini... e non abbiamo imparato ancora nulla!Scrivo per mostrare l’altra faccia della medaglia di tante realtà che la storia ci ha presentato, che gli uomini della storia ci hanno lasciato e, spesso, presentato secondo una visione che, spesso, risulta poco oggettiva (per quanto possa esistere una oggettività reale).
I love writing historical novels.History – and more – is one of my great passions. Alongside it, there's a passion for music, computers, and a thirst for knowledge in general.I don't write my historical novels with the intent of "looking back at history to avoid the same mistakes," because I don't believe we have much to learn from history: since the time of Adam and Eve, so-called "history" has shown a humanity capable of constant war and extermination!I write to show the other side of the coin of the many realities that history has presented to us, that the men of history have left us, and, often, presented according to a vision that often lacks objectivity (though real objectivity may exist).I write with my middle school students in mind, using fluid language and the hope that they will become critical people, capable of reading beyond the lines, beyond what they see.
