Manifesti Abbastanza Ostili nasce nel 2020 assolutamente per sbaglio, con l’obiettivo di trasformare in arte, ciò che arte non è. Sicuramente non un ottimo presupposto e infatti il risultato è quello che è. Frasi che tutti abbiamo detto o ci siamo sentiti dire, verità scomode, polemiche, fastidi e altre cose che di solito non possiamo dire ad alta voce (vedi “piscio in doccia”) diventano poster ed elementi d’arredo per raccontare il quotidiano e decorare le case minimal e tutte beige dei millennial. L’autore le definisce “opere d’arte per chi non capisce un cazzo d’arte”. E come dargli torto? I prodotti di Manifesti Abbastanza Ostili non sono belli. Non sono eleganti. Sono solo veri. E spesso questo basta.
Manifesti Abbastanza Ostili was born in 2020 completely by accident, with the simple goal of turning into art what definitely isn’t art. Not exactly the best starting point — and the result reflects that.Phrases we’ve all said or heard at some point, uncomfortable truths, petty arguments, everyday annoyances, and things we usually don’t say out loud (see: “I pee in the shower”) become posters and home decor pieces that tell the story of everyday life while decorating the minimalist, all-beige homes of millennials.The author describes them as “art for people who don’t understand a damn thing about art.”And honestly, it’s hard to argue with that.Manifesti Abbastanza Ostili products are not beautiful.They’re not elegant.They’re just honest.And often, that’s enough.
