Maria Delfina Vitrani nasce a Cagliari da padre pugliese e madre calabrese il 24 marzo 1977. Trascorre infanzia e adolescenza tra Milano, Pavia e Foggia, dove compie gli studi e frequenta il Liceo Classico "V. Lanza". Dopo la laurea in Lettere antiche conseguita presso l'Università "La Sapienza" di Roma con un tesi sull'autore greco Plutarco, si abilita all'insegnamento a Pavia. Dal 2007 vive a Milano e insegna materie letterarie e latino nei licei. Da sempre appassionata di scrittura, "La ragazza sul fiordo" è il suo primo romanzo.
Maria Delfina Vitrani was born on march 24, 1977. She spent her childhood and adolescence between Milan, Pavia and Foggia, where she completed her studies at the classical high school "V. Lanza". After graduating in Literature from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" with a thesis on the Greek author Plutarco, she qualified to teach in Pavia. Since 2007 she has lived in Milan, where she teaches literature and Latin in high schools. Always passionate about writing, "The girl on the fjord" is her first novel.
